Peer Collaboration

Peer collaboration plays an essential role in the classroom. I implement strategies like Think-Pair-Share, peer editing, cooperative learning tasks, and group problem-solving to build communication and teamwork skills. Students are often assigned roles, such as recorder, timekeeper, or discussion leader, to ensure equitable participation and accountability. Peer buddies and partnerships are also used to support language development, deepen comprehension, and model respectful dialogue. These structured opportunities foster social connection, active engagement, and deeper learning.

  • Think-Pair-Share: Promotes speaking and listening.

  • Jigsaw Groups: Encourage interdependence and ownership of learning.

  • Group Roles: Assigning jobs (e.g., timekeeper, recorder) ensures participation from all.
